Arlington Festival of the Arts
April 18-19, 2015. Clarendon, VA. The Arlington Festival of the Arts returns in the spring of 2015 as Highland Street in the Clarendon District of Arlington, Virginia will be transformed into a two-day juried outdoor art gallery style art exhibit. The new arts festival features vibrant paintings, contemporary and whimsical art, life-size sculptures, photography, handcrafted jewelry and much more.
Sugarloaf Craft Festival
April 17-19, 2015. Montgomery County Fairgrounds -Gaithersburg, MD. Sugarloaf Crafts Festivals are craft shows featuring hundreds of artists from all across the United States and Canada. Over a dozen shows are held each year in major metropolitan areas in Washington D.C., Connecticut, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Every show offers contemporary crafts and fine art in a marketplace where artists and craftspeople demonstrate their crafts and sell their unique creations directly to the public. The National Math Festival in Washington DC will bring families together this spring to discover the power of mathematics in a fun and educational event at a variety of venues. A brand new event celebrates the power of mathematics with performances, interactive exhibits, lectures and activities for all ages at a variety of venues on the National Mall.
Bay Bridge Boat Show
April 17-19, 2015. Kent Island, Maryland. The Bay Bridge Boat Show kicks off the boating season each spring with a display of hundreds of new and late model brokerage boats and boat equipment displays. Attendees will learn about affordable, green small boats such as kayaks, canoes, inflatables, and day sailers. Introduction to boating seminars will be held several times each day providing answers on how to transcend into the sport of boating.
Bethesda Literary Festival
April 17-19, 2015. Each spring Downtown Bethesda hosts the annual Bethesda Literary Festival featuring local and national authors, journalists and poets, essay, short story and poetry contests, and children’s events. All events are free and are held throughout downtown Bethesda’s hotels, bookstores and community centers. Dozens of authors and writers conduct readings, talks and other activities at galleries, bookstores and other sites in downtown Bethesda.
Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival
April 18-19, 2015. Historic Leesburg,Virginia. Historic Leesburg kicks of the spring season with the Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival showcasing lush landscapes and gorgeous gardens with a two-day family friendly event with food, music, children’s entertainment and crafts. More than 100 vendors will display landscape designs, gardening supplies, outdoor living items, plants, flowers, herbs and much more!
