Easter is Sunday, April 20, 2014. Have you made plans for your family yet? From delicious brunches to petting zoos, there is a little something for everyone. We have complied  a list of some popular events to choose from.

White House Easter Egg Roll

What: The White House Easter Egg Roll is an annual family event to hunt for and race Easter Eggs on the White House Lawn while enjoying storytelling and a visit with the Easter Bunny. The White House will open the South Lawn to children age twelve and under, along with their families, to enjoy sports, cooking classes, live musical performances, storytelling and the traditional White House Easter Egg Roll. The 2014 event theme will be announced at a later date.

Where: White House 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, DC (202) 456-7041. All guests will enter the event from the Ellipse and will go through a security screening process.

When: April 21, 2014, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Admission: Lottery winners will be notified via email.

Ticonderoga Farms Easter Egg Hunts

What: Come join us and the Easter Bunny for some festive fun.  Egg Hunts feature candy and toy-filled eggs.  Find those special golden goose eggs for a prize.  Kids and adults can get on the slides, take a hay ride, visit our farm animals and roast marshmallows.

Woodland Wildlife Egg Hunt

What: Fashioned after the popular Fearless Fest, the Woodland Wildlife Egg Hunt at Hidden Oaks Nature Center is an opportunity for families with young children to walk the Old Oak Trail and meet costumed naturalists interpreting local wildlife. While gathering eggs and stickers, children will find out whether animal babies come from eggs or not. The Easter Bunny will be waiting for them in Nature Place at the conclusion of the walk.

Easter Egg Hunt

Luxe Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt

What: Made-to-order waffles and omelets, extravagant carving stations, fresh fruits and creative side dishes join a lavish menu of traditional brunch selections. Endless Bloody Marys and mimosas and decadent desserts from the in-house bakeshop are among the favorites.
Children who dine at the restaurant can participate in a complimentary Easter egg hunt from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The hunt will be held outdoors on the hotel’s park-like grounds, weather permitting.
